The Rapido 127029 NSC 3800 cu.ft. Covered Hopper in HO Scale, representing TH&B Toronto Hamilton & Buffalo #1508, is back for a third time! The picture might show a different road number. These famous cylindrical hoppers are making a triumphant return with new road numbers and paint schemes. Rapido aims to replace the incorrect 4550 cu.ft. covered hopper car models on layouts and displays with this true Canuck classic. It comes with all the great features from the last run, like sharp lettering and laser - straight etched roofwalks. The prototype cars are designed to carry bulk commodities such as powdered minerals, industrial chemicals, cement, and potash. They have a 100 - ton capacity with four hopper compartments totaling 3800 - 3850 cubic feet and are equipped with either 4 round or continuous trough hatches. Built by major Canadian car builders, these hoppers have traveled across Canada and the contiguous US. Besides big carriers like Canadian National and Canadian Pacific, many were built for leasing companies and some are still in service. The Rapido model is scaled from manufacturer drawings and has alternative parts to show the differences between MIL and NSC cars. Features of the Rapido Trains HO scale Canadian 3800 cu.ft. Covered Hoppers include round - hatch or trough - hatch design, correct Dofasco S - 2 100 - ton trucks, two body variations, three brake equipment variations, etched running boards, factory - installed air pipes, finely moulded plastic walkway supports, and full separate air piping and brake equipment details.

Using this Rapido HO scale covered hopper is easy. Just place it on your model train track like you would with any other model. It's a great addition to your layout to add realism. When handling the model, be gentle as the etched parts like the running boards and roofwalks are delicate. Avoid dropping it or applying too much pressure. For maintenance, you can use a soft brush to clean off dust from the body, running boards, and other details. If the wheels get dirty, you can use a mild cleaner and a cotton swab to clean them. Make sure to dry the model thoroughly after cleaning. Store the model in a cool, dry place to prevent any damage from humidity or extreme temperatures. Also, keep it away from sharp objects that could scratch the paint or break the small parts.
