The Athearn Genesis ATHG13340 is an amazing HO scale model train locomotive. It represents the GP15-1 CR Conrail Operation Lifesaver #1662 and comes equipped with DCC and sound features. Conrail ordered 100 GP15-1s in 1979 for secondary and branch line trains. These locomotives had snowplows at both ends for bidirectional use and signal boxes as standard equipment. Most of them lasted until the end of Conrail in 1998 and then joined the NS and CSX fleets. The #1662 model features an 'Operation Lifesaver' logo, Hyatt bearings, a small EMD plow on the front end, and ditch lights on both ends.
