Using this drain is easy. First, install it in your standard tub following the included instructions. When you want to drain the water, simply turn the lift - and - turn mechanism. To retain water, turn it the other way. For maintenance, regularly clean the strainer to prevent clogs. If the drain seems slow, you can use a mild drain cleaner. Avoid using harsh chemicals as they might damage the ABS material or the rubber gasket. Also, check the screws periodically to make sure they are tight.
